Bangkok perfumes built on Thai desserts and spices
Butterfly Thai Perfume is a Thai perfume brand with its own shops across Bangkok. Its site names no founder or founding year. It chose the butterfly as a sign of beauty, freedom and scent travelling to people, and added Thai Perfume to the name out of pride in perfumes created by Thai people and Thai perfumers. In 2025 the beauty site Daily Vanity listed it among rising Thai fragrance brands and noted that its prices run low.
The brand says every scent starts from a story: Thai ways of life, Thai culture, memories, or something its perfumers met on their travels. It describes its method as modern perfumery mixed with the old Thai craft of making fragrance, and says it chooses natural materials with care. Several scents share a warm base of agarwood, benzoin and saffron.
In Bangkok its shops include CentralWorld (1st floor, Zone D, Hug Thai) and Central Rama 9 (basement B1), both open daily from 10:00 to 22:00, and a shop at Chatuchak Weekend Market in Project 24, Soi 34/3, open Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 to 19:00. Most perfumes are listed at 1,395 baht. Try Mango Sticky Rice first: it turns the Thai dessert into a scent, from coconut milk and roasted coconut to ripe mango, and shows the brand's idea of a perfume that starts from Thai life.
- Mango Sticky RiceThe Thai dessert as a perfume: coconut milk and roasted coconut, then ripe golden mango and vanilla, over agarwood and benzoin.
- GalangaFresh galangal with lime, kaffir lime leaf and lemongrass, meant to feel like the clean freshness after a shower.
- Oud IncenseCitrus, then chalood bark and benzoin, settling into agarwood, honey and beeswax with an incense the brand says is aged for two years.
