What we found
- A typical workshop costs about US$79 per person, and half of them cost between US$42 and US$107.
- The cheapest is Musée du Parfum: Make Your Own Perfume in Marrakech, MAD 290 (about US$29).
- The most expensive is Floris Bespoke Fragrance Customisation in London, £750 (about US$992) for a 100 ml bottle.
- Among cities with two or more workshops, Marrakech is the cheapest place to make your own (from US$29) and Singapore the most expensive (from US$156).
- For the amount of perfume you take home, Perfume workshop in a Galata atelier in Istanbul is the best value: 50 ml from US$32, about 64 US cents a millilitre.

Each price is what the workshop lists on its own website or its booking page, on the date shown. Where a workshop offers several options, we use the cheapest one and mark it "from". Prices are converted to US dollars at the European Central Bank's rates of 9 Oct 2026. The UAE dirham uses its fixed rate to the dollar; the Moroccan dirham and Bulgarian lev use market rates from open.er-api.com. Prices marked "+ tax" are shown before sales tax.
