Family perfume house launched in Bangkok in 2019 by Karnchana and Nutt Wesshasartar, whose family made a traditional Thai perfumed water from 1928. Nutt composes the scents, and the porcelain bottles are finished by hand in Thailand. Its playful sister line VOYAGER became a separate brand in 2024.

Thai legends in hand-finished porcelain from Bangkok
SIAM 1928 was founded in Bangkok in April 2019 by Karnchana Wesshasartar, the third generation of a perfume family, and Nutt Wesshasartar, the fourth generation and the house perfumer. The family story began in 1928, when Khun Ying Boontham Boriraknittikaset created Num Ob Prung Chaokhun, a traditional Thai perfumed water, at the family shop. It is used to scent water for bathing Buddha images and for blessing elders. Siam is Thailand's old name.
Nutt began composing perfumes for everyday wear in 2018. Each scent comes with a poem in Thai and English and draws on Thai legends, such as the giant fish Anondha or the red lion Kraisorn. The porcelain bottles are formed and finished by hand in Thailand, then glazed and fired in small batches, so no two are exactly alike.
SIAM 1928 has no shop of its own. In Bangkok its store list names the ICON CRAFT zone on the 4th floor of ICONSIAM, Skonx Perfumery at CentralWorld and Gaysorn Tower, and Rebellion Lab and Perfume Bar, which Daily Vanity places in Dragon Town, Soi Chula 5. On its website a 60 ml porcelain bottle costs US$180 to US$220. Try Mekha Aranya first. Built on osmanthus and honey, it won the artisan category of the Art and Olfaction Awards in 2025.
