Started in 1931 by Mrs. Alvin Hovey-King, who learned perfume making from her Creole French mother. It calls itself the oldest continuous perfume maker in New Orleans and is still run by the same family, now in its fourth generation, from a historic French Quarter house on Chartres Street.

French Quarter

Tijon: Mix and Match Perfume Class

Wear a lab coat and blend three perfumes from premixed bases and extra oils, then bottle the one you like best. A longer Class 101 ($175, 2 to 3 hours) and a walk-in Express blend ($79) are also offered.
